Specifications for Live Demos or Presentations (Sections 7 & 8 - Prof. Mitra)

Each group will present a live demo to show the feature that they have added for the final project. The schedule of these demos is provided on your section’s calendars but the order of demos will be discussed/finalized during the lecture. You will have 20 minutes maximum (12-15 minutes to setup and present + 5-8 minutes for questions). You will lose points if your presentation goes over 15 minutes.

Please note:

  • The live demo must be from the deployed site, not from localhost.
  • Attendance is REQUIRED for these demos. Please email the instructor if you have extenuating circumstances.
  • Each group will be required to submit copy of presentation (along with poster) on Canvas.

Your presentation should include the following:

  • {Required} Requirements elicitation and collection process (functional and non-functional) [1 silde]
  • {Required} Application Architecture description, advantages, and limitations [1-2 slides]
  • {Required} Testing Strategy [1 slide]
  • {Required} Software Development Process. You must include why your team’s development workflow aligns with the process. [1-2 slides]
  • {Required} A quick demo of your application lasting not more than 1 minute. Pick one feature and demonstrate that.

You might want to include your email address and other related info (i.e., github repo link, pictures, hosted site link, etc). You will also submit a copy of your presentation (pptx/pdf file, not link) on Canvas under “Project: Poster/Demo” assignment.

Grading Rubric:

Your final Poster and Presentation are worth 4% of the overall course.

Poster will be worth 1% and will be graded based on whether you submitted it on time or not.

Presentation (which includes demo) will be worth 3% and will be graded in the following manner:

  • All team members contributed during presentation
  • The demo worked for the feature being shown
  • The presentation includes all the required aspects.
  • The Q & A was answered satisfactorily.
